Help enough people get what they want, and you can have everything you want. –Jim Rohn
Although the saying may be rather overused, it contains an element of truth that rings appropriate even in the age of Internet marketing and business. “One hand washes the other.”
When talking to men and women who have achieved success on the World Wide Web, who are now operating progressive and profitable online business ventures, they all seem to have one thing in common. Along the way, these successful marketers and operators all took the time to help other folks either with or through their online ventures.
When someone logs onto the Internet, it is typically because they have a need and they want that need fulfilled, they may be looking for an answer to a question, or trying to figure out how to do something, or maybe they just need a new pair of shoes. Whatever the case may be, that person needs someone else to fulfill their need and help them.
Learn how to fulfill your visitors needs and then over deliver on them and don’t charge them for it. Help your visitors and customers achieve whatever success they are after no mater how trivial it is to you. Show your visitors that you care and are willing to help.
Doing this ensures that your visitors will become customers and then friends, and once you have achieved this they will be customers forever.

inclined to lend a hand to you at a future time. Cooperative ventures of this sort have formed a basis for beneficial business growth in the brick and mortar world through the years -- indeed, literally for centuries.
The same sort of cooperative ventures plays well on the Net as well. Again, as simplistic and as worn as the phrase may seem to many people, there is an abundance of truth in “one hand washes the other.”
The Power of Positive Praise
Even in cyberspace, “word of mouth” is important. The image of your online business can be vitally enhanced or brutally brought down by what fellow Internet users say -- write -- about your business.
Practically and naturally speaking, one of the best ways to start a positive buzz about your online venture is to help others in such a way that they are determined -- not just inclined, but determined -- to spread the good word about you and your efforts.
Building Alliances
Finally, be helping others, you will begin to build meaningful alliances that will stand the test of time. Rarely does a business -- online or otherwise -- avoid experiencing downtimes or negative situations. By building alliances through your efforts to help and assist others, you will end up having strong supporters during those times when you are facing your own set of difficulties or challenges.
